to provide opportunities to serve and reach our community for Christ. We are clergy women of all ages and
socioeconomic
backgrounds who hold a variety of gifts, talents and skills. We cherish and work
to be advocates on behalf of all women
clergy,
the young and the not as young! We seek to share the incredible strengths and
resources found in the African
Methodist
Episcopal Church so that we may be better, wiser and stronger in carrying out God's ministry and mission in
the world.
This call involves a commitment to train, develop, inspire and instill within clergy women (local; itinerant, evangelist,
exhorter
etc.)
the desire to fulfill their potential in life with a sense of dignity, determination and destiny.
1. Model and share best practice in Communication, programming, and leadership
2. Represent and build support for each other.
3. Foster spiritual growth and renewal among women;
4. Build support among women in ministry that encourages bonds of sisterhood and the
creative exchange of ideas and information;
5. Mentor and encourage the younger WIM to reach for their potential in Christ;
6. Find ways and means to challenge each woman to use her gifts to compliment the talents of
other women as we work side by side to further the mission, vision and goals SEDWIM.
"A new command I give you, that you love one another. Even as I have loved you, you must love one another.
By this
the world will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." John 13:34-35
